How To Plan Your Diet

LOSE WEIGHT TODAY!

DID YOU KNOW THAT STRESS IS A KNOWN CAUSE OF THE ACCUMULATION OF EXCESS FAT!

Most people looking for a solution to weight loss are seriously trying to find out how to get rid of the excess fat in their midsection. This is mainly because this is where we notice the excess belly fat first. This can lead to a reluctance or difficulty to exercise and most of all, leads to a self-image problem, where we feel unable to do anything about our weight issues and this in turn leads to stress. Stress is a known cause of the accumulation of excess fat, and so the merry go round continues.

There is good news though, because once you determine to loss weight and do something about it, then the belly is the first place that will loose fat first. This is because belly fat is visceral (internal) fat and it is the first fat that the body metabolizes and turns into energy faster than the body would do to what is know as subcutaneous (just below the skin) fat.

DIET AND EXERCISE

These two little words can cause panic and groans everywhere as so many people have tried over and over again to loose their excess belly fat and failed to shed those extra pounds. It’s no wonder we get confused as we are bombarded with faddy diets each by so called experts that totally contradict each other.

That spare tire around your middle however can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes (blimey!). Thankfully, despite all the experts conflicting advice, you don’t need a complicated diet plan to learn how to loose belly fat.  Your belly fat may be stubborn but it’s really no match for exercise, proper nutrition, hydration and most of all, a can-do attitude.

HOW TO LOOSE BELLY FAT IN 4 SIMPLE STEPS

  1. Most importantly, the first step is to believe in yourself. The way you feel about your ability to loose weight will play a huge role in your success. You must truly believe in your own ability to have what it takes. Think of your fat burning journey as a lifestyle change rather than your “going on a diet”.  This process is about healthy living and feeling your best everyday.
  2. Do not start to calorie count! Please don’t misunderstand me. I’m very conscious about what I put into my body but refuse to spend my life counting every little crumb that I put into my mouth. When I get hungry, I want to be able to eat without thinking about calories while I’m doing it. You must make sure to eat a healthy balanced diet which will keep your metabolism operating properly so that you burn belly fat more effectively. You must ensure that you eat essential carbohydrates, healthy fat, protein, and vitamins and minerals. You should incorporate a variety of healthy wholefoods such as poultry, lean meats, raw nuts, vegetables and fruit, whole eggs, seeds, beans and legumes into your diet.
  3. Self hydration is often overlooked but amazingly is crucial for burning fat and maintaining your health. Water helps prevent bloating and constipation and helps curb your appetite.  It also helps metabolise stored fat and rids the body of toxins and excess fat.  Most of us underestimate the amount of water we should be drinking daily. As a general rule, you should drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily.  For example, if you weigh 300 pounds, your intake should be 150 ounces of water every day.
  4. We know it can be hard to exercise, and you don’t have to  change your lifestyle overnight. Start by making the smallest of changes. You could start by drinking more water, increasing your fresh vegetable intake and exercising 2 to 3 days a week. When you start your plan, you will automatically decrease your caloric intake and will start to notice the difference fairly soon. However, unless you start to exercise, your metabolism will slow down and reduce your ability to burn belly fat. Don’t be fooled by thinking you can target your belly fat with exercises like sit-ups and crunches as these and other ab-specific exorcises only work to tone the muscles.  The only real way to get that flat stomach is to burn the fat off. Try to combine 30 to 60 minutes of moderate to intense cardiovascular activity with proper nutrition and the fat around your belly will melt away like butter. Start by doing 5 to 10 minutes and you should try to gradually build on these small improvements and always remember that the goal you set for yourself, begins with the smallest of steps.
